American Suzuki Motor Corp. will maintain its U.S. fleet sales to 8 percent of total sales for the 2005 calendar year. In 2004, American Suzuki cut its fleet sales to 8 percent, which was down from previous highs of as much as 20 percent of total sales. Cutting fleet sales has helped Suzuki's North American Operation post $125,000 in operating profit in the April-to-September period, based on the exchange rate of Sept. 30. That's a turnaround from a $31.2 million operating loss in the year-ago period.
