Autobytel Inc. was the most visited new vehicle buying and research destination, and the 76th most visited property on the Internet during the third quarter of 2004, attracting over 8.2 million average monthly unique website visitors, according to comScore Media Metrix, the Internet audience measurement service. comScore's monthly rankings also show that Autobytel was the most visited online automotive network among U.S. Hispanic Internet users during Q3. comScore reported that nearly 49 million Americans, or nearly 1 in 3 of all U.S. Internet users, visited automotive websites during the average month in Q3 2004. According to comScore, in Q3 2004, Autobytel's network drew 42 percent more visitors than the next closest automotive resource destination, attracting about one in six visitors within the automotive category. In addition, the Autobytel network's average monthly unique visitor count was the highest among all new vehicle buying and research sites during the first three quarters of 2004 (January-September). Autobytel is the only exclusively automotive destination ranked in comScore's top 100 website properties. comScore research also found that Autobytel network was the most visited automotive destination among U.S. Hispanic Internet users during the third quarter — ahead of eBay Motors, Automotive.com, and AutoTrader.com. In fact, Autobytel's average of 826,000 unique Hispanic monthly visitors represented nearly a quarter (23 percent) of all Hispanic visitors to the Automotive category in Q3.
