Under the direction of Fleet Manager Windell T. Mitchell, King County, Washington, has been selected by the U.S. EPA for induction into the national Waste Wise Hall of Fame. The EPA created the Hall of Fame for its Waste Wise program last year, to honor Waste Wise members that have repeatedly won top awards in the program, according to the NAFA Fleet Focus e-mail newsletter. King County is the first government agency in the Waste Wise Hall of Fame. At an upcoming presentation, King County's director, Mitchell will be singled out for recognition of his leadership in getting hybrid vehicles into the county's fleet.
