Six people received the OCLC or Ohio Certified Leasing Consultant designation at The Ohio Vehicle Leasing Association’s 48th year Fall Leasing Conference in Columbus on Oct. 21. The recipients were: Jennifer A. Baker and Tarry E. Shebesta of ACS Inc., Cincinnati. Danielle Conley and Brian VanNest of MotorWerks Inc., Dayton. Linda Bryson and Brenda Thompson of Quality Car & Truck Leasing Inc., Portsmouth. All are employed by OVLA member firms. OCLC was launched by the OVLA in 1997. Those interested in enrolling the four-session, 16-hour educational program should contact The OVLA at (800) 369-5633, or ovla@uautolease.com for additional information and the enrollment and registration forms. Eligible lease consultants, not just from OVLA member firms, can enroll and start the program at any time, but must complete all four sessions before graduating and receiving an OCLC pin and certificate. The first session for the Class of 2005, The Basics, will be taught Thursday, Jan. 13, at Dayton, by Mark VanNest, the owner-president of MotorWerks Inc., Dayton. VanNest has not only his OCLC designation but the CVLE or Certified Vehicle Lease Executive designation from the National Vehicle Leasing Association. OVLA is the Ohio chapter of the NVLA. The other sessions are: #1 The Legal Aspects of Leasing – Federal & Ohio Law; #3 Marketing & Sales, and #4 The Paperwork.
