Wheels Inc. hosted its annual model year ordering web seminar on Thursday, May 27, 2004 to share tips for simplifying the ordering process as fleets gear up for the 2005 ordering season. Among the information discussed was:

  • The blurring of the model year and its impact on resale and ordering cycles.
  • Used vehicle certification.
  • Maximizing the impact of incentives on depreciation.
  • The effect of increased fuel costs.
  • Popular fleet models in a year full of product changes.
  • Loss of the "traditional" fleet sedan.
  • How Wheels Account Management assists with vehicle ordering.
  • New Wheels online functionality and its role in the order process.

    “The Web seminar allowed Wheels to share insights with our clients on how the upcoming model year defies tradition in many ways. It also demonstrates that Wheels has the people and systems in place to help guide our clients in making the right ordering decisions for their fleets and for market conditions,” said Dan Chengary, Wheels account manager and one of the hosts of the Web seminar. Laura Wallace, account manager, also hosted the event with additional speakers Gino Fontana, director of purchasing operations, and Sheryl Sawyers, purchasing operations manager.
