Cleveland vehicle leasing executive Matt Rawlings was elected president of the 200 member Ohio Vehicle Leasing Association (OVLA) at the association’s 48th year convention at the Wyndham Conference Center on Thursday, May 6. OVLA is a not-for-profit trade association serving more than 200 firms involved in the vehicle leasing industry. Rawlings is the owner and president of Personal Leasing, Cleveland, OH. Reelected to his 27th term as executive vice president and ex officio member of the executive committee and board of directors was Richard Lightner of Worthington. Remaining on the OVLA Board of Directors will be: Past President Joseph Belden, owner-president of Ohio Car and Truck Leasing Inc., Canton, and Immediate Past President Scott Mills, president of Maverick Leasing & Sales, Highland Heights.

  • Dan Stone, owner-president of Stone Leasing, Columbus, was elected secretary-treasurer.
  • Elected Vice President for Program and Education was Mark VanNest, the owner-president of MotorWerks Inc., Dayton.
  • Roger Perry, Philadelphia Insurance Co., Columbus was named Vice President for Membership Services and Recruitment.

    In addition, Tarry Shebesta, president of Automobile Consumer Services, Inc. (ACS), was re-elected Vice President for Southwest Ohio. Shebesta has been actively involved with the organization for four years and will serve for the next year.
