The city of Pullman, Washington, is considering banning cell phone use by drivers, according to a report on KXLY TV news on May 6. The Pullman City Council wants to know if it has the legal authority to institute the ban. Councilman Tom Sanders is pushing the idea, his proposal would allow drivers to use hands free phones or traditional cells as long as the vehicle is not moving. The council will reconsider the issue at its May 18th meeting.
