Auction Broadcasting Company (ABC) announced the promotion of Starla McHugh to regional vice-president of sales for the Western half of the nation. In this capacity, McHugh will oversee import accounts, banks, and other lending institutions, as well as develop new business opportunities for ABC. For the past three years, McHugh has served as the director of marketing/advertising. She retains that position as well, supervising the marketing staff in the areas of public relations, corporate advertising, strategic marketing and internal processes and procedures. McHugh's background positions her for the new responsibilities she is assuming. With nearly a decade of experience in auction marketing strategies, she brings a philosophy of customer service to her role. In her new capacity, McHugh sees future changes shaping up in the industry, which will impact how the sales force supports its customers. "Many portfolios are decreasing; market conditions are beginning to improve; and the remarketing customer is looking for value-added services," she said.
