Jacobus Energy Inc.'s Quick Fuel Fleet Services subsidiary has acquired operations in Missouri, Iowa and Florida, which will add regional coverage. Quick Fuels bought the mobile refueling business of Solar Fuels, a Kansas City-based fleet fueling company. In a separate deal, Quick Fuel purchased an automated fueling station, a bulk plant and an office/warehouse facility in Fort Myers, Fla., from Fuelman of South Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed. The Solar Fuels deal includes six trucks and operations in Kansas City, Mo., and Des Moines, Iowa. Solar provides overnight refueling to fleet operators. Quick Fuel Fleet Services now operates 51 automated fleet fueling stations in the Midwest and South and runs 120 mobile refueling trucks. Quick Fuel is an operating subsidiary of Milwaukee-based Jacobus Energy, a provider of petroleum products and refueling services.
