Mobile communications provider Aether Systems Inc. has sold its enterprise-mobility division to TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (TCS) for $19 million, the Washington Post reported on December 30. The unit designs and installs software, such as e-mail and customer-service applications, in wireless devices like cell phones, the Post said. It has 1,400 corporate customers, and generated $40 million of Aether's $84.2 million in revenue in the first three quarters of this year. TCS sells cellular and satellite products and services.
