Effective January 1, Alonzo Oxford has been promoted to the position of national sales manager, inside sales at Black Book/National Auto Research (NAR). In addition, John Frank joined the field sales team in December as new business development manager, and will be based in the Los Angeles area.

Oxford joined Black Book in 2002 in the sales department, and has since worked in both field and inside sales. Before cooming to NAR, he was in retail automobile sales for 20 years, during which time he held positions as finance manager, lease manager, truck manager, and new-car manager.

An ex-Marine having served in Viet Nam, Oxford holds a degree in criminology. He and his wife Marsha have a son and daughter, both of whom are in college.

John Frank joins NAR from the Reynolds and Reynolds Company, where he had been a systems account manager in the Los Angeles region. Prior to that, he was with Nissan North America in sales and marketing and with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC) as regional remarketing manager.

Frank, 38, is a native Californian, and he and his wife Rosie reside in Moorpark along with their three sons. He is currently finishing his MBA, and when not working, he enjoys family activities, softball, and fly-fishing.
