The Atlanta Economic Club presented Tom Webb, chief economist at Manheim Auctions, with an award for winning the 2002 Forecasting Contest. For the contest, participants forecast seven economic variables for the national economy and five for the Atlanta area. Webb joined Manheim in 2000, serving as a resource for the industry. He supplies analysis of used-car market activity based on data provided by Manheim’s North American auctions and other industry-wide research. He is also responsible for the annual Used Car Market Report, a compendium of industry observations and projections.
