Chrysler will rename the Dodge Intrepid and Chrysler Concorde next spring, sharing components with the redesigned Mercedes-Benz E class, reported Auto Week Online on June 9, 2003. New names have not been selected, according to George Murphy, Chrysler group senior vice president of global brand marketing. He adds the current names will probably not "grab new buyers." Two possible names are the Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300C, which were used on concept vehicles. The current names date back to the 1993 model year, when the vehicles were introduced.
