The new 2004 Ford Ranger, unveiled for the first time at the New York Auto Show, has been reworked to incorporate design cues from the new Ford F-150, said Shawn McDermott, Ranger marketing manager for Ford Division. The 2004 Ranger has been reinterpreted as a sleeker, more aggressive compact pickup, the company said. The 2004 Ranger has put special emphasis on interior finesse, convenience, and creature comforts, McDermott noted. "Seventeen percent of Ranger customers move into an F-Series as their next vehicle and we also have quite a few customers going over to the Explorer as well," said McDermott. The 2004 Ford Ranger will go on sale this fall.
