The updated Lincoln LS has received praise from the automotive press for its power, handling, luxury appointments, and driving enjoyment, reports Ford Motor Co. For 2003, the LS comes with over 500 redesigned components and systems, including an electronic throttle control for smooth and accurate power delivery, a new speed-sensitive steering system, and heated and cooled front seats. John McCormick wrote in the Detroit News that “the LS shines as an example of how well Detroit can compete with the Europeans and Japanese in the luxury car arena.” Edmunds.com, an Internet buying source, ranked the 2003 Lincoln LS as the best domestic entry-level luxury sedan for 2003. And Kelley Blue Book said, “Lincoln has truly gone to town with the LS.”
