Ford Motor Co. showcased its Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) division and TH!NK Mobility, LLC, the brand that exclusively markets and sells battery electric vehicles, at the SFO CleanAir Vehicle Expo. The event was held on May 8 on the rooftop of San Francisco’s International Airport’s new International Parking Garage G. The CleanAir event exhibited both gaseous and electric alternative-fuel vehicles, providing information to fleet owners on how to fund and build an alternative-fuel vehicle fleet. To raise awareness on the need to preserve air quality in California, Ford brought together its two brands that support automotive innovation for reduced emissions. These brands, Ford AFV and TH!NK Mobility, displayed and hosted a Ride and Drive of their alternative-fuel product offerings. The SFO CleanAir Vehicle Expo also included informative sessions hosted by members of the U.S. Department of Energy, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, and the Air Resources Board. “San Francisco is a city on the cutting edge of clean vehicle technology, and our participation in this Expo is critical to providing our customers access to driving and experiencing the benefits of alternative-fuel vehicles for themselves,” said Beryl Stajich, AFV marketing/business strategy manager for Ford’s alternative-fuel vehicles.
