Ford employees won’t be able to use company-owned pool vehicles for trips during workdays, according to an Associated Press report that cited a memo to employees obtained by The Detroit News. The AP said the move could translate into savings of about $4 million for Ford and improve its cash flow by $10 million. Previously, Ford employees could use pool vehicles to travel between Ford’s offices, plants, and other facilities during the working day. The AP report said that since pool vehicles will only be available for overnight business trips, employees will now have to rely on limited shuttle services or use their personal vehicles.
