A co-worker of DMJM Harris Administrator Leslie Clarke was looking out his window on Sept. 11, 2001, when the co-worker saw a plane crash into the World Trade Center about 20 blocks away. Clarke oversees 300 vehicles for DMJM Harris. “We watched the rest of it from our office windows,” Clarke told Automotive Fleet. She said she saw the second plane crash and the collapse of the two World Trade Center buildings. “It was like a movie. You watch this unravel in front of you and you can’t believe it’s happening. We could smell the smoke.” Clarke said her building was not evacuated. She added that the incident has not effected her fleet vehicles or any ordering status.
