Hitachi Credit America Fleet Services and Salex Acquisition Corp. have developed a program to provide the Salex maintenance management program, including its Internet-accessible vehicle and driver database, to qualifying Hitachi fleet accounts. “The program allows drivers to use special cards to access corporate discount rates for vehicle maintenance and replacement parts such as windshields and tires, at more than 30,000 service facilities nationwide,” said Mike Simon, vice president and general manager of Hitachi Credit America Fleet Services. “The charges would be invoiced for payment monthly through the fleet company. Fleet customers will also have Internet access to a complete database on each of their vehicles that will contain all up-to-date maintenance records, driver information, and any applicable accident reports or subrogation information,” said Simon. Accident management and reporting, car rental, subrogation, vehicle disposal, and other special services can also be provided by Salex Acquisition for Hitachi Credit clients upon request. “We can provide the program for cars or trucks up through Class 7,” added Ken Jacobs of Salex.
