ISELIN, NJ – More than 2,600 industry professionals turned out to attend the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) FMI-LEG held May 6-9, 2006, in Orlando, Fla. According to NAFA Executive Director Phil Russo, CAE, the number of members who registered for the conference went up more than 10 percent from the previous year. “Another big factor in the overall attendance increase was opening the exhibit floor to fleet managers without charging them an entrance fee,” Russo said. “We had more than 300 fleet managers take advantage of our ‘exhibits-only’ offer, which is double the number from last year, when there was a fee.” During his address at the Annual Business Meeting portion of the conference, NAFA President Charles A. Gibbens, Jr., said, “Fleet managers join NAFA to learn, to grow professionally, and to network with others who can help them do their jobs better. As part of my responsibility as NAFA president, I pledge to make sure you see that value.”
