WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Glenn Boglisch, a fleet manager from Windsor Locks, used his week-long vacation time to drive supplies to the Gulf Coast region devastated by Hurricane Katrina, according to the Manchester Journal Inquirer. Boglisch took time off from South Windsor’s highway department to transport food, blankets, tents, and medical supplies to Gulf Port, Mississippi. The fleet manager made the 3,000-mile, round trip loaded with donations from various groups in the state. Total Logistics Services, a bulk mail consolidator and Boglisch’s part-time employer, donated the tractor and 511 gallons of fuel Boglisch needed for the trip, according to the Manchester Journal Inquirer. Boglisch plans to return to the region on Oct. 14, and is trying to secure more donations for his trip.
