BusCon, the nation's largest trade show serving the bus industry returns to Chicago's Navy Pier in September. BusCon features the largest number of buses on display in North America. Last year, the show’s Las Vegas event exhibited more than 80 vehicles. BusCon focuses on the small to mid-sized segment, the bus market's fastest growing sector. Supported by many of the industry’s bellwether vehicle manufacturers and leading product/service providers, BusCon will continue to offer bus-using businesses free registrations to the event’s exhibits. In addition to exhibits, the show also features a educational program, including three seminar tracks developed by the editorial staff of Metro Magazine to address concerns in the areas of equipment, maintenance, operations, and finance. The global threat of terrorism impacting transportation will be discussed during a general session headed by representatives from the Department of Homeland Security. Qualified bus buyers represent a diverse group of businesses including tour and charter operators, universities, public transportation, limousine operators, parking companies, hotels and resorts, retirement communities, airport ground transportation, leasing companies, assisted-living homes, community transit, car rental operators, and others. BusCon is endorsed by the American Bus Association, Airport Ground Transportation Association, Illinois Limousine Association, Illinois Motorcoach Association, Trailways, and the Illinois Public Transportation Association. BusCon's host dealer is Midwest Transit Equipment. Registration and more information can be found at: www.BusConExpo.com.
