CEI and the Safety Wins team invites drivers to attend safety training at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida on Thursday, July 1 and at Chicagoland Speedway in Chicago on Friday, July 9. The day-long events will include defensive driver education conducted by certified National Safety Council trainers, a session on NASCAR safety by Busch Grand National series race driver Jimmy Kitchens, and a pit tour and tickets to qualifying or practice races. All Safety Wins events are at no charge. The goal of Safety Wins is to provide classroom training to professional drivers in order to positively influence a reduction in the leading cause of work-related death in the United States: motor vehicle crashes. Safety Wins is made possible by a Susan Harwood Training grant (Award # 46E3-HT42) through the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Safety Wins is a cooperative project among the National Safety Council, Cavalier Home Builders, CEI/DriverCare, and NASCAR Busch driver Jimmy Kitchens. For more information about Safety Wins and how your drivers can participate in these engaging events on July 1 and July 9, contact Irena Dmitry at (215) 953-4225 or e-mail [email protected].
