Warren Byrd, a former corporate executive with ADESA auctions, was named to the newly created position of chief operating officer of ServNet Auctions, announced Bob Sullivan, general manager of Chattanooga Auto Auction and ServNet’s president-elect, on April 5. Byrd’s new position is effective immediately. Byrd will operate out of Indianapolis, Ind., and will coordinate day-to-day operations of the 22-member ServNet organization. In addition, he will focus attention on the organization’s strategic planning efforts while also developing new programs. Prior to taking the ServNet position, Byrd spent nine years with ADESA in a variety of roles. His duties included providing legal services as both associate and general counsel, vice president of corporate development, chief information officer, and president of ADESA Impact. He left ADESA last fall.
