DHL’s Acquisition of Airborne’s Ground Operations Completed

Deutsche Post’s DHL Worldwide Express unit said on August 15 that it had completed its acquisition of Airborne Inc.’s ground operations for approximately $1.05 billion in cash With the acquisition now complete, DHL said in a release it would integrate Airborne with its existing businesses in the United States, which would result in a reduced headcount in both companies.
