Manheim Simulcast-Only Sales to Continue Past April 3

Manheim will continue to offer Simulcast-only sales at its U.S. locations for the foreseeable future, the company announced.  

The company will continue to waive Simulcast buyer and seller fees.  

Manheim first announced that it would be moving to Simulcast-only sales on March 16, with an original intent to resume normal operations on April 3. Given how the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved since that original announcement, the company has extended that original end-date.  

In terms of operational updates, Manheim noted that all auction facilities will remain closed to buyers and sellers on both sale and non-sale days and that only vehicle pick-up and drop off will be allowed.  

Additionally, sellers will not be allowed to represent their vehicles at Manheim auction locations, all selling will be conducted via the Remote-seller tool, the company noted. Transactions, such as payments and arbitration, will be handled through alternate means, the company added.   

Manheim will follow protocols to activate closures, deep cleanings and quarantine procedures as needed. The company will ensure to communicate to its staff about CDC sanitation guidelines, instruct team members who feel ill not to report for work, and extend its cleaning crew hours.
