GE Fleet Services announced that it has e-mailed more than 1 million FleetFacts reports to customers since the product’s inception in January 2001. FleetFacts is GE Fleet Services’ online subscription reporting tool. Customers select which reports they would like to receive and the data is sent to them each month via e-mail as Microsoft Excel attachments. As a result, they no longer need to receive detailed paper billing. They receive the data electronically in an Excel spreadsheet for easy analysis, manipulation, and customization. Customers have the option to receive billing summaries; detail, fuel, and maintenance summaries; or exceptions, upfit status, order status, and inventory reports. FleetFacts contacts can be set up at any billing level within a customer's organization – all a contact needs is an e-mail address. In addition to the reports themselves, GE also offers a self-help page with Excel tips, online training classes, the monthly billing timeline, available reports (with descriptions and examples), and an online change request form so customers can change the reports they receive. FleetFacts currently offers 21 reports. The fleet management company said several more reports are planned for distribution in mid-2003. Currently, GE customers have selected to receive more than 65,000 reports electronically each month.
