Fleet sales in Spain were up by 2,000 units year over year in January, despite declines seen in the overall vehicle market, according to a report from Dataforce.

The Seat Ateca SUV was the No. 1 selling fleet asset for the month, moving 1,147 assets to true fleets, according to Dataforce. This was followed by another Seat vehicle, the compact hatchback Leon. The third top fleet asset was the Nissan Qashqai compact crossover SUV.

The total market in January was 90,800 units sold, which was down by 8,100. This was driven heavily by a decline in private sales, which was down by 14.8%. The most popular vehicle in the private market was the Dacia Sandero compact car.
