Volkswagen revealed the 2021 Atlas will be slightly larger than its previous iteration and will include its all-wheel-drive system on both of the SUV’s available engines, as well as new technological features. 

The new Atlas will feature a three-inch increase in its overall length and the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system will be on the 2.0L turbo engine and 3.6L V6, according to Car and Driver.  Additionally an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen will be available on all trims except the base model, and new safety technologies will be introduced.

The 2021 VW Atlas is expected to debut at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show in February and will go on sale the following May, according to Autoblog

The automaker revealed the details at an event at the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum in Ypsilanti, Mich.
