Kia Motors unveiled its 2021 Seltos entry-level SUV that will slot just below the Sportage as the latest entry in a growing segment of more fuel efficient entry crossovers, the company announced ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The company unveiled the Seltos on Wednesday during a press conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Seltos buyers can choose between two efficient powertrains, including 2.0-liter or 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines. It will be available in five trims including LX, EX, S 2.0L, S 1.6T, and SX.

When it goes on sale by April 1, it will retail for less than $22,000. The base model will be equipped with front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive is an option across the lineup.

The base model could be rather spartan, and Kia will offer safety and driver-assisting technology as optional equipment packages. Kia will also offer a 10.25-inch color touchscreen — that will also be available in the new 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Electric.
