After twenty four years in business, P&S Auto Auction has announced that it has changed its name to Kansas Auto Auction. The announcement was made by owner Gregg Boswell at the auction’s Anniversary Sale on Oct. 24. Founded in 1978, Kansas Auto Auction says it has grown from a two-lane facility with an average consignment of 250 cars a week, to a three-lane auction that sees more than 600 cars and trucks cross the block each week. According to the company, over 800 vehicles were included in a sale on Oct. 24, including over 200 lease and repo units, and more than 400 new-car dealer trades. At day’s end, a sales rate of 47 percent was recorded. Kansas Auto Auction holds an auction every Thursday at 10:30 am, and a salvage sale every other Friday at 10:00 am. The auction is located in Elwood, Kansas, 35 miles north of the greater Kansas City area, and about 25 miles north of the Kansas City International Airport. Kansas Auto Auction is a member of ServNet.
