TCF Capital Solutions has hired Paul Erwin to lead a fleet funding initiative for fleet management companies, according to a release.

Erwin joined the division of TCF Bank as a national program manager for the Detroit-based financial institution.

Erwin brings more than 25 years of lending experience from similar roles with SunTrust and Key Equipment Finance. He holds a bacherlor's degree in accounting and finance from the University of Michigan and a masters in business from Northwestern University.

"Paul has a history of building successful fleet lending programs," said Tom Bessinger, sales manager of specialty vehicle sales at TCF Capital Solutions. "Paul's experience and extensive knowledge of vehicle leasing, when paired with TCF Capital Solutions' robust and flexible platform, help fleet management companies offer maximum value to their customer relationships."

TCF National Bank and TCF Financial Corp. launched TCF Capital Solutions in June to bring together the resources of TCF Equipment Finance and Winthrop Resources Corp. Executive appointments at the time included Gary Peterson as CEO, Richard Chenitz as president and COO, Paul Gendler as EVP and managing director of corporate business development and capital markets, and Todd Watterson as EVP and chief administrative and financial officer.

TCF Bank maintains $47 billion in assets. TCF Capital Solutions is the twelfth largest equipment leasing company backed by banks, according to Monitor Daily.
