Sales in August, when compared to last year, were down 2.8% and were also down 4.2% when looking at the data year to date. Commercial vehicles maintained 17.3% of the market year to date.

Commercial vehicle sales were down in August and year to date, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Sales in August, when compared to last year, were down 2.8% and were also down 4.2% when looking at the data year to date. Commercial vehicles maintained 17.3% of the market year to date.

Commercial sales were also down in the country in the previous month, which has struggled.

Toyota has led the way in terms of new vehicle sales by japanese makers with 1,038,200 vehicles sold year to date, though Nissan held the market in the month of August with 129,659 vehicles sold versus Toyota’s 129,200.
