San Jose, Calif.-based FleetUp will offer a video telematics bundle that includes a 360-degree dashcam from Waylens that integrates into the company's fleet management solution, the company announced.

The camera will bring video footage from various angles into the FleetUp dashboard, so fleet managers can view it. The camera also provides driver-facing views.

The event recorder captires crashes, break-ins, harsh accelearating, hard barking, and sharp turns. The camera sends video snippets of these events to cloud storage. The fleet manager received an automated message about the incident.

These events can be viewed and sent to insurance companies following an accident. Companies that use the dashcam may be able to get a discount from their insurer, according to FleetUp.

FleetUp offers a patented, FMCSA-compliant suite of GPS and ELD (electronic logging device) compliance applications for the transportation industry.
