Year over year, when analyzing the first seven months of the year, commercial vehicle sales were down 4.4%, and were also down 6.4% when strictly comparing July 2018 and July 2019.

Commercial vehicle sales in China were on the decline for the first half of 2019, and they were also down for the month of July.

Year over year, when analyzing the first seven months of the year, commercial vehicle sales were down 4.4%, and were also down 6.4% when strictly comparing July 2018 and July 2019. Commercial vehicles accounted for a 17.5% share of the market from January to July, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

The top bestselling models in China so far this year have been led by Volkswagen, which has three vehicles listed in the top four. Volkswagen's Lavida four door sedan saw 11% growth year over year for the first seven months of 2019, while the second most popular model was the Volkswagen Bora compact car.

Following the two top selling Volkswagen sedans was the Toyota Corolla, which saw a 11% decline year over year, and in fourth for China was the Volkswagen Santana three-box sedan.
