Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling an estimated 680 2019 Camry mid-size sedans for an air bag problem. Specifically, the Occupant Classification System may have been improperly calibrated, which may prevent the proper deployment of the front passenger air bag and knee air bag during a collision.

If the air bags do not deploy as designed and intended during a crash, there is a greater likelihood that front seat passenger will suffer an injury.

To fix the problem, Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will recalibrate the system, at no cost to owners.

Owners can reach Toyota customer service at (888) 270-9371. The recall began Aug. 15. Toyota's reference number for this recall is K0M.
