Subaru of America, Inc. is recalling an estimated 2,107 2019 Legacy and Outback midsize sedans and compact crossovers because spot welds located on the duct below the cowl panel may have been improperly applied, impacting the vehicle's body strength.

Reduced vehicle body strength can increase the likelihood of an injury in the event of a collision.

To fix the problem, Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and repair or repurchase the vehicle, as necessary, at no cost to owners.

Owners can reach Subaru customer service at (844) 373-6614.

The recall began in July. Subaru's number for this recall is WUH-93.
