Toyota Motor North America has named Don Fordiani group manager for fleet sales to replace Dave Depew, who retired earlier this year.

Fordiani comes to the role from Lexus, where he was the group manager for guest experience and fixed operations. In that role, he supported Lexus dealers and area offices with programs and other resources. He was also responsible for national parts and service operations, dealer performance, and technical operations, parts and service marketing, and the owners website LexusDrivers.

Fordiani began overseeing Toyota's fleet operations and sales in January with three managers reporting to him, including Mark Oldenburg, national fleet operations manager; Ton Deluise, commercial sales national manager; and Gene Weber, rental sales manager.

Prior to his most recent role, Fordiani held the positions as Lexus national customer services field and dealer operations manager and assistant general manager of the Lexus Southern area.

Before that, he served as the Lexus Central area vehicle operations manager, where he was responsible for sales, vehicle supply, and merchandising.

Fordiani began his career with Toyota Motor Sales in 1989. At that time, he held a variety of positions at Toyota regional offices and at the then-headquarters in Torrance, Calif. After holding several positions in the Kansas City region, he was promoted to promotion and distribution manager.
