The six states with the most active pest control fleets make up more than 50% of the total activity in this commercial fleet segment, according to new data from Verizon Connect.

Over a yearlong period from March 2018 to March 2019, Verizon Connect found that Georgia ranked highest among pest control activity among these fleets that use the telematics provider's track-and-trace technology. A year ago, Verizon Connect identified Florida as having the highest activity.

Pest-control activity in Georgia accounted for 11.11% of the states with data that was included. Other top states includes Florida (10.79%), Texas (10%), California (8.57%), Alabama (5.68%), and Arizona (4.7%). About 62% of pest-control activity occurs in the South.

Georgia, Florida, and Texas all average more than 2,000 pest-control stops per day during the year, according to Verizon Connect.

The data came from 5,500 pest control vehicles that use Verizon Connect's fleet management solution.
