The second day of NAFA I&E 2019 was highlighted by the opening of its expo hall, more educational sessions, and the final day of the CAFM U Bootcamp.

The day began with breakfast presentation honoring the 2019 FLEXY Award Winners. This year's winners who spoke were: Dave Dahn, CAFM, corporate fleet program manager, Erie Insurance Group; Mario Guzman, CAFM, director of support services, City of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Robert Stine, CAFM, director-fleet management department, Hillsborough County, Fla. Jodi Weber, Americas fleet manager, Johnson Controls International, was another 2019 FLEXY Award winner, but was unable to attend. Adam Orth, CAFM, fleet services manager, General Mills, who was a 2018 FLEXY Award winner, spoke as a special guest during the presentaion.

Following the presentation was the official opening of the NAFA I&E 2019 expo hall, which featured 250 vendors, and offered the space for ample networking opportunities.

After this was a series of educational sessions, which touched on a variety of topics, including best practices, professional development, a focus on suppliers and more.

Tuesday also marked the final day of the CAFM U Bootcamp, which were sessions designed for attendees to prepare for taking exams to become a Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS). The exams will be held Wednesday, April 17, the final day of the I&E, and Thursday, April 18, a day after the conference’s end.
