Nick Peluso, president of Manheim Digital Marketplace, received the Ed Bobit Industry Icon award on Tuesday during an award ceremony at the 2019 Conference of Automotive Remarketing at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The award, which is presented by both the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) and the International Automotive Remarketer’s Alliance (IARA), was awarded to Peluso to honor his contribution to the remarketing industry.

Peluso, who has been in the automotive industry for more than 30 years, has not only positively contributed to the remarketing industry during his long standing career, he has also made it a priority to give back to his community through different philanthropic means.

After receiving the award Peluso took to the dais onstage to thank the industry for awarding him the Industry Icon Award. He thanked all the people he met in the industry for guiding him along and for getting him where he is now.

Peluso joined Cox Automotive in 2000 as president of remarketing solutions for Manheim. He quickly became senior vice president of customer management for Manheim, then in 2014 was named president of RMS Automotive.

In 2017 he was appointed to a dual role as president of Manheim Digital Marketplace and RMS Automotive.

Now, Peluso is responsible for Manheim’s digital channels, such as OVE, Manheim.com and Simulcast, as well as RMS Automotive’s global business.

The Ed Bobit Industry Icon award was created in honor of the late Ed Bobit, who was the posthumous inaugural winner in 2015.
