In an effort to increase sales of its Jeep brand, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is launching two pilot programs, one with peer-to-peer carsharing app Turo and the other with Avis, Bloomberg reports.
Owners of Jeeps can put their vehicles on Turo's platform and rent them out to other drivers during the three-month trial period. FCA's pilot with Avis will allow Jeep owners to swap their vehicles for other FCA brands.
Both pilots begin this week in Boston and are open to the first 100 owners who register.
