Nine of the top 10 fleet brands in the U.K. achieved positive growth for August, reports Dataforce. The leading brand for the month was Volkswagen, which posted a 76% growth, its highest monthly market share for U.K. fleets. This was followed by Ford in second place with a 21.4% growth, and then Vauxhall, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.  Peugeot, which placed seventh, saw its best market share since February 2016 (up 73%), which was due to the strength of its SUV lineup. The last three of the top 10 were rounded out by SEAT, Kia, and Suzuki.

Some of the top sellers for the month had a direct impact on the fuel type shares in the market. While shares for diesel fell to a share of only 36.3% (which means a new all-time low point in true fleets), both full EVs and Hybrid powertrains scored new records of 1.0% and 10.7%, respectively.
