Fleet FAQ

Fleet FAQ? Fuel Management

Q. What do you think the future holds for mobile/cardlock/fleet evolution? What should industry players be paying attention to?

A. The pace of change today is faster than it’s ever been, and yet slower than it ever will be from this point forward. Changing cards from mag stripe, to chip-enabled, to cardless will all converge on the market in the next few years. Security, control and convenience must all play important roles as this technology evolves. WEX is already developing for the future, as we have all of these card types or functions in the market today and continue to leverage mobility and technology to make the drivers’ lives easier, but with the necessary security and controls in place to protect the company’s financial and operational goals.
