Ride-hailing service Lyft has completed more than 5,000 paid rides with Aptiv's self-driving fleet in Las Vegas, reports Reuters.

Lyft's partnership with Aptiv began during the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. Since extending the alliance after the show, Lyft now has 20 different pick-up and destination spots for autonomous vehicles around the Las Vegas strip.

Of the 55 self-driving vehicles Aptiv has in the city, 20 are being used by Lyft.

While Lyft has numerous partnership with self-driving vehicle companies, its deal with Aptiv is the only one that makes those vehicles available to the public.
