Cummins Inc. is recalling approximately 921 2015-2018 Power Generation trailers for a remote emergency stop (E-stop) problem.

Specific models under the recall include: 2015-2018 C60D6R, C150D6R, C80D6R, C100D6R, C200D6R, C300D6R, C150D2R3 and C200D2Re vehicles, 2016-2018 C275D2Re vehicles, as well as 2018 C70D2Re and C100D2Re models.

The generator sets on these trailers may include improperly wired remote emergency stop and start connections, causing the remote stop to malfunction and fail to shut the generator down as intended.  If the unit doesn't shut down as expected, when the E-stop is activated, there's an increased risk of injury.

To fix the problem, Cummins will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the E0-stop function. If needed, dealers will repair or replace the remote E-stop/remote start switch panel at no cost to owners.

The recall begins Sept. 24. Owners can reach Cummins customer service at (800) 286-6467.
