United Kingdom true fleet registrations for July posted a 1.4% growth after slipping slightly in June. This helped the total automotive market reach almost 164,000 registrations for the month, and a 1.2% total growth, according to Dataforce.

Volkswagen was the No.1 brand for the month for fleet registrations, and posted a 12.8% share of the market. The top vehicles that helped contribute to this growth were the Golf, the T-Roc, and the Tiguan, according to a release from Dataforce. After Volkswagen was Vauxhall in second place, followed by Ford, Mercedes, and Audi.

The strongest players in July for the segment were the Nissan Qashqai followed by Volkswagen Tiguan and Ford Kuga. SUVs accounted for 40.9% registrations across the top 25 brands in July, compared to 32.9% in July last year.
