Ford has revealed initial images of its Territory, a midsize SUV for the Chinese market.

The Ford Territory features gasoline, 48-volt mild hybrid, and plug-in hybrid electric powertrain options, according to a release from Ford. The SUV is also built with a Ford-tuned suspension, mesh grille, and LED lamps. A Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-assisting technologies, infotainment system with voice functions, and FordPass Connect embedded modem are also available.

The Territory is born from a partnership between Ford and Jiangling Motors Corporation, to develop an entry-level, affordable midsize SUV for the Chinese drivers. The SUV is scheduled to go on sale early 2019, the automaker revealed.
