Ford Motor Company is recalling an estimated 5,645 2018 Ford Expedition, F-150, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with 3.5L GTDI V-6 engines because the welds in their high pressure fuel pump assemblies may crack and lead to an oil or fuel leak.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the chance of a fire.

To fix the problem, Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the high pressure fuel pump along with associated components at no cost to owners.

The recall begins on July 16. Vehicle owners can reach Ford customer service at (866) 436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 18S17.
