The City of Dublin has taken delivery of its first Nissan LEAF electric vehicles.

The City of Dublin, Ohio, has taken delivery of its first electric vehicles (EVs) — four Nissan Leaf battery-electric vehicles — and installed a new connected dual-port charging station.
The EV investment helps support Smart Columbus’ efforts for replacing carbon-based fuel consumption. Smart Columbus is the smart city initiative for the Columbus region and includes EV deployment and charging infrastructure.
Dublin plans to purchase six additional electric vehicles for a total of 10 EVs. The Nissans Leafs that have been delivered will be used in the motor pool.
The city’s new Chargepoint Level 2 smart EV charging station is being offered free to all users until demand warrants a discussion about charging a fee. The station replaces two Level 2, single-port stations that had been in use since 2012 — these will be reinstalled at other locations.
